I don’t know that I have a single favorite type of item to crochet. I like to experiment and try new types if items. OTOH, I suppose you could call doilies an “unfavorite.” I do a lot of Tunisian crochet (in public yet), and confuse the heck out of people who see me doing it. It’s fun watching people do a double take when they realize I’m only working with one 10″ plus long object and it’s a crochet hook, not a knitting needle. I don’t think I’ve ever actually done a symbol pattern, although I expect to sometime, maybe soon.
My favorite things to crochet are amigurumi. They are just so darn cute! I haven’t mastered the symbols thing yet, but I want to. Keep up the good work Brianna!
I seem to love making afghans, but I’m really open to anything. If I see something I like, I’ll try it. I like both types of patterns. I’ve gotten used to them as all the old books my grandmother gave me only have the symbols, but all the books I buy have written patterns. I’ve never actually done Tunisian crochet, but I would love to learn.
Favorite items to crochet: Amuguruimi
HI!
I’ve found that I do enjoy crocheting hats and just got the hang of reading a chart…YAY!
Now for my limerick…
There once was a girl who crocheted
She would sit and count stitches all day
She said “Just one more”
When she went to the store
But came home with more yarn anyway!
(hee hee that was fun!)
i love to crochet scarves but I like the amigurumi dolls that everyone is doing now. I think its a bi complicated for my level. I’m new to the crochet scene! :)
I like the little Amigurumi the best, but I haven’t really done very much crocheting.
What a great contest!
I like crocheting amigurimi, although I would really like to crochet some lace.
I like charted patterns for anything that is lacy or uses different stitch patterns. If it’s just, say, an amigurumi that is all in sc, written directions work pretty well for me.
I love making doilies. Right now I am in my “Snowflake/xmas ornament mode” so I am making those in between my other projects. I would love to learn how to do Tunisian crochet. For me the symbol patterns are alot easier to understand, it’s like reading a map, you just can’t get lost
I can read either symbols or written but I prefer a pattern to offer both. That way if I don’t understand one I’m pretty sure of getting the other. I like to crochet sweaters and home accessories such as tablecloths, suncathers and even curtians. I’ve done a few doilies as well. I use most any kind of thread or yarn but I prefer natural fibers such as cotton and silk. I’m not good at poems or lymrics but I tell people I’m an old hooker just to see the look on their face *grin*
I’m hosting a giveaway as well, so come enter for the drawing.
i’m still pretty new to crocheting. I must say that currently, my favorite would be a simple scarf or hat pattern. I am really looking forward to expanding my knowledge of crochet. Tunisian style is something I have been eyeing and playing at for a bit now.
I like to crochet things with beads. I prefer written out patterns. And crocheting makes me happy because it reminds me of being a little girl at my grandmother’s house.
I am crocheting several projects for Christmas presents, and am always looking for new ideas. I would like to be entered for the giveaway.
Great job, Brianna!
I really like to make scarves and quick fingerless gloves. I also prefer words in patterns, but I’m trying to learn the symbols so I can read those pretty japanese pattern books.
