This is really a note to myself.
Caryn and I have eliminated a lot of waste by putting our selves, and our household (5 people), into the habit of recycling. I won’t go into details, but we’ve reduced actual waste by more than half, and we’ll be contacting the city to inquire about the 3-bin limit. We need more, city! We need more. We’ll even pay.
To expand upon our new recycling habit, we’ve also focused inward, choosing organic food options when we can. And now, because we’re going to work on starting a family this coming year, we want to provide organic options for our future children.
The cotton above, after reading some reviews, is an option I’ll be looking into after we bounce back from the Holiday Finance Crisis. This time of year is the worst on budgets. Still, it’ll be worth seeing the gratitude and appreciation in recipients’ eyes.
Back to yarn–
In addition to the above, I’m looking forward to the samples I ordered ($2.19, incl shipping) from NearSea Naturals (http://www.nearseanaturals.com). Samples should tell me how the yarn feels in the hand, what the WPI is, and if it’s something I think is worth the cost.
I know I can wait, but sometimes I’m just too impatient to focus my energy, or to distract myself with something else.
Ahh, well…
